Review 1:

I asked my friend Matt L. for food recommendations near Pigtown. Knowing that I am a foodie and a local area artist, he recommened Zella's Pizzeria. When I arrived at Zella's Pizzeria, even though there was a Open sign, it was hard to tell whether it was open due to old hours printed on the door. After entering the restaurant, I was surprised that the walls were completely empty and there was no art for sale. During the week (Monday through Friday), the restaurant has happy hour from 5:30-7:30pm. The happy hour menu consists of $2 off all drafts, wines & rail drinks and half-price appetizers. Other specials include half-priced wine nights on Sundays (with $20+ food purchase), $4.95 sandwich special on Tuesdays during the day (available until 4pm and must dine-in to receive offer), and $9.95 large pizza with free regular topping to-go. The menu consisted of starters, salads, gourmet pizzas, sandwiches, calzones, pasta (e.g., vegetarian and meat lasagna), and desserts (e.g., White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Cannoli, and Chocolate Cake). For starters, my friends and I shared a 10-Piece BBQ Wings. These wings were baked with olive oil & herbs, dressed in a tangy, sweet, honey bbq sauce, and served on romaine lettuce with ranch dressing. These were hands down the best wings I've ever had. For dinner, we ordered our own pizzas - Zella's Special Pizza and Spinach Artichoke Pizza. When you order a pizza, you can customize whether you want regular or thin crust pizza. Zella's Special consisted of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. The Spinach and Artichoke Pizza consisted of garlic herb sauce, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, caramelized onions, baby spinach, artichokes, and feta cheese. Both pizzas were delicious in their own way. For dessert, we shared a White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, which consisted of a graham cracker crust, smooth and silky textured cheesecake with swirls of raspberry jam and drops of white chocolate. It was delicious and I suggest you to save room for it. We ordered a Make-Your-Own-Calzone, which consisted of tomato sauce, a blend of feta and mozzarella cheese, and three toppings of your choice, to-go. For toppings, I chose mushrooms, caramelized onions, and pepperoni. It was a great combination.

Review 2:

I call this a hidden Gem! Their pizza is awesome this visit I didn't get any because I just was going for drink but I've had it several times. I'm also addicted to these spinach and feta triangles when I say they are delicious my daughter eats an order by herself. I got a margarita and the bar tender actually didn't use any margarita mixes he actually squeezed limes by hand which had my at hello lol. This is also an art gallery where local artist is able to sell their paintings. It's not overly busy except lunch hour. They have bike parking and the Citi Bank rental bikes outside. The prices are very very reasonable. They have carry-out and delivery.

Review 3:

Fun, friendly place - the service here was incredibly pleasant, as Patrick exchanged Baltimore vs. New York stories with us. Great vibe - community bulletin board with local bands playing kind of place. They had a cool selection of craft beers and a full bar, and the prices seem quite reasonable. As you may see, I'm a native New Yorker, it would be redundant to say that I'm a pizza snob - it's hard to avoid when you live amidst the greatest pizza in the world. So I'm a hard marker. We got a plain cheese pie, and it was pretty solid. Sauce might have been a touch sweet, but I was happy with it.  Probably a true 3.5 star experience, but I'll round up for the über-friendly service and cool vibe.
