Fixture Pizza Pub is a solid though somewhat uninspiring destination. The pizza is clearly delicious. They have a 4.6 star rating from Google reviews with almost 600 to their name. That said, the menu doesn’t have any awe inspiring choices and the location is casual and calm, but nothing incredible.

Review 1:

Fun, popular spot for a drink and some tasty food. We arrived at 6 pm on a snowy Saturday and figured we could get right in but there was a 20-minute wait, so we opted to eat at the bar. Fixture only takes reservations for parties of 7 or more, so plan for a wait. The food was pretty much five-star. It's not fancy, but it is very good. The garlic bread with marinara sauce was above average. The Ceasar Salad was sizable and terrific--it was fresh and the dressing was great. And, the Walker's Pint pizza was excellent and unique.  It's a bit like a Mexican pizza with taco sauce, ground beef, cheese, crushed tortillas, and sour cream. We left happy and full. (The bartender claimed the small pizza might not be enough if we were hungry, and he was wrong--it's more than enough with a salad!) But, I took away a star for reasons you may not care about (so maybe this is a five-star casual restaurant for you.) The place is very loud. When we were there, part of the volume issue may have been a large party of around 20 pre-teen girls. (You can "OK Boomer" me all you want, but when I was a child, my parents took us to suburban chain restaurants designed to accommodate families and not bars in Walker's Point where screaming children echoing off the Cream City brick and wood ceilings make it unpleasant for other patrons.) But between the children, the Saturday-night crowd, and the loud music, it was difficult to hear anyone who wasn't right next to you. Also, I'm not sure I'd recommend eating at the bar, as we did. Service was fine, but the bar doesn't have open spots for others (people who are just there to drink or diners waiting for a table) to order, so the entire dinner, people were reaching around and between my wife and me to order, get bar menus, or claim their drinks. In retrospect, we should've waited for a table. The place has good food, but if you're not in the mood for a loud place, you might opt for another Walker's Point or Third Ward restaurant.

Review 2:

here is little reason to visit Fixture aside from their specials on Sundays and during happy hour. On Sunday, their wings (which are incredible) are 50¢ without limit. Definitely recommend going for the buffalo wings when this price. Otherwise, they are about $1 a wing, which feels steep when you can get them for a reasonable price. Additionally, they have $4 bloody marys and $3 mimosas. The bloody is okay, lacking on flavor, and only compensating with garnishes. The others in my party seemed to enjoy their mimosas. Happy hour has decent beer and wine deals as well as $1 mozzarella sticks that are definitely worth it. The one deal that has been dissapointing is the Thursday all you can eat spaghetti and meatballs. The overcooked pasta is drowned in sauce. The sauce is a touch spicy, which is really nice, but across all five people I was with, all of us had sauce overload to the point of being unpleasant. Both visits, service was mediocre at best. I'll stick to Sunday wings in the future.

Review 3:

Add a star for the way they handled their third party delivery.  The manager was great but just call your order in and pick up your pizza.  Grubhub is the worst.  Ordered at 3pm from here and let me assert they always give me excellent service AND they are 6 blocks from my house. Yes I was being lazy but I was watching a football game on television, I timed the order for halftime.  When the order didn't come in an hour I called the service number who has a long-winded scripted response which couldn't be more annoying because I was hungry and wondering where my food order was.  Turns out the delivery driver didn't feel like getting out of his car so he called me, I didn't answer because the area code was from Chicago (I'm in Milwaukee 6 blocks from Fixture) so he took off with my pizza and the generous tip I paid ahead of time (NEVER AGAIN).  The customer service moron told me there was nothing he could do since it was my fault I didn't answer my phone.  It took me close to 10 minutes on the phone to get a manager on the phone because the first guy on the phone kept insisting he couldn't call the driver until he finally did and that's when the driver told him he didn't feel like getting out of the car to ring my doorbell and now he was too far away to bring back the pizza. Are you clocking this?  He drove away with my tip and the pizza I PAID FOR and wouldn't bring it back because he it would be inconvenient!  The Grubhub supervisor made me tell the whole story over again but this time gave me a full discount by way of a free next meal, minimum $25.  I ordered the pizza again.  The discount didn't work because I didn't meet the minimum.   I paid again (this time no tip).  Another long wait.  I called the restaurant, told the whole story, the manager there apologized and said the SECOND pizza had been ready for about an hour getting cold waiting for Grubhub.  Called back Grubhub.  New person answering said I couldn't cancel this second order because it was still within the promised delivery time.  This is now almost three hours since the first order, I've paid for two pizzas and one tip for not having anything to eat and missing the second half of my football game (yes I have DVR but unfortunately now the next game was on and I saw the final score of the game I was most interested in) because of the amount of time I spent on the phone.  Another long wait to get a Grubhub supervisor to cancel the order.  End of the story?  I was still charged for BOTH pizzas I never got plus the tip, and two Grubhub drivers got pizzas ON ME.  Instead of taking down my review because I'm critical of Grubhub YELP should track down these two drivers and make them give Fixture reviews for the pizzas I bought them, and they better not complain that the pizzas weren't hot because that was totally the fault of the two drivers taking so long to pick them up.
