THERE. ARE. NO. WORDS. I absolutely love this place. I was in town to visit some friends, was starving to death, found Moon River Pizza. First off, love that their placards to denote what one ordered was pictures of wrestlers. I got Ric Flair, obviously, and could not be more overjoyed. Then there's the pizza. I got the T-Rex, that comes with literally all the meats. I went for the medium, and good lord. That's one massive pizza. The person dropped it off, along with two plates, thinking my buddy and I would be sharing. Awhellnah! The waiter didn't believe I could finish that whole pizza, and boy was he wrong. He even came back, gave me props for finishing the thing. I will for sure be back, next time I'm in town. It's not an "if I'm around," it's a "must" for any time I'm anywhere near Jacksonville.

Huge slices and fresh ingredients- the perfect recipe for a delicious venture! Step in and peruse the oversized chalk board menu filling an entire wall! From specialty pizzas, salads, breadsticks and calzones- you can find anything you want. Be aware these pizza slices are seriously huge and the calzones! The ordering process was easy- I ordered 2 (foolishly) slices of "The Pizza" which had mushrooms, spinach and fresh garlic and was simply pizza perfection in very bite. The mushrooms slices were big on the pizza too! The kitchen had our food out in no time and I picked up mine and folded it to bite in while my friends took to it with knife and fork. We were checked on multiple times for drinks and I eventually conceded and accept a box for the untouched 2nd slice. Guess I have another meal! I hope to find myself back in this neighborhood again soon! I want some more great pizza!

Came here for lunch with a friend who was shocked to discover that I have never been here before. I've been meaning to, my daughter has been here many times with friends and has always enjoyed the food here. My friend likes a "later" lunch, so we arrived a little after 1 pm during a weekday. Surprisingly, it was still quite busy and continued to be so. No worries though, the ordering line moved fast. I was a bit surprised at first by the somewhat limited menu but obviously Moon River knows what works. I was tempted by the calzone until I saw how huge it was, so I decided to try that another time. Both of us ordered two slices and a soda each and sat down. Our pizza slices arrived soon after and brought out to us. My friend had The Special and I had a slice each of the T-Rex and the White. He loves his, but ate one slice and took the other home. I should have copied him. They were much larger than I realized. Both of my choices were delicious. The T-Rex was loaded with meat (pepperoni, sausage, bacon and Canadian bacon/ham) and the White was cheesy and garlic-y. I guess I was fooled by the thinness of the White and consumed both slices. I was full for the rest of the evening and ended up skipping dinner. LOL I ogled other tables and the salads looked fabulous. My friend (and other friends) raved about how good they are. As busy as they were, the workers kept our soda cups full and kept the tables clean. They were friendly and helpful. I'm definitely bringing my husband back here for date night one night.
