I went to MCG for the first time Sunday and I am glad I did! When I initially went they were crowded, so they gave me the option to wait outside or they could give me a call 30 minutes later. Once they gave me a call, I went back and the entire staff was extremely kind. I enjoyed $2.25 Mimosas. I had the cranberry and regular (they were delicious). I love that they garnish them with various kinds of fresh fruit to give each one it's one unique twist. Now, let's get into this club sandwich! It was the best I've ever had! It was loaded with thick slices of turkey, ham, and bacon. It was enough to feed two people. I ate some for lunch and the rest for dinner. The homemade potato salad was good! It had just the right blend of ingredients and they also gave a huge helping of that. I plan to be a regular!

We -- me and my husband, our toddler, and my husband's parents -- came in here before the Liberty Bowl, so on New Year's Eve afternoon. About 90 seconds after my father-in-law ordered his beer, the power went out for the rest of our visit. Since they have a gas oven, they were still able to make us a pizza and breadstick. They were also still able to serve us beer like nothing happened, and they came around and lit us some candles. Everything was piping hot and DELICIOUS. The pizza had a great wood-fired taste with nice, thick slices of sausage, and the breadsticks were soft and flavorful. The beer menu is small but ALL local. It was almost empty and had a very mellow vibe at lunchtime, even on a holiday when the city was overrun with out-of-town football fans, and there was no issue with our child walking around when she got crabby/stir-crazy. Overall, they were truly unflappable, even with the power outage, and it didn't even feel like an inconvenience. This place went above and beyond. And so did its food.

I haven't even left the restaurant, but I am so disappointed and honestly a little grossed out that I had to write this review. This is my second time eating here and the food is meh. The first time we got the loaded potato skins and smoked wings. The potato skins were dry, lackluster, and sad. Wings were ok, a little on the dry side but the seasonings were fine. However, today we decided to try the pizza which they seem to specialize in and have a lot of "eclectic" combinations. It was firstly difficult to find a flavor that wasn't weird sounding, but we ended up trying the Tuscany pizza. We waited way too long probably ~45 min for one pizza and breadsticks (also our appetizer just arrived with the food not beforehand). It was the worst pizza any of us have ever had. The crust to topping ratio is like 1:2, but that was ok bc the crust was better than any of the actual pizza. Soggy is an understatement for how gross the center of the pizza was. I tried to use the pizza server to put a slice on my plate and there was literally uncooked mushy crust in the middle of the pizza. So we started picking toppings off the pizza instead and I lifted up a tomato and there was NOTHING. No crust, no nothin. The roasted red peppers and chicken were weird tasting. Idk we're all just grossed out at this point and are going to get food somewhere else after this. I've attached pictures of basically a bunch of mush bc that's what it was. Service was fine which is the only reason I'm not giving them one star. I also think it's overpriced for what it is. $11 for banh mi?? Go down the street to phuong long and get a better one for $4.
