Review 1:

I had a chance to try Giant Bronx Pizza catering at a recent charity event and it was wonderful.  It was a nice selection of food and based on this experience, I will be visiting the restaurant and also considering them when I need a tray of food for a party. We started out with the a nice side salad.  I liked that it had plenty of chopped vegetables alongside the lettuce and grape tomatoes.  I chose the oil and vinegar.  To me it the flavor was like a tasty house iIalian dressing.  We also had the penne with marinara and penne alfredo.  The marinara was a nice sauce with chunky tomatoes.  The standout for me was the alfredo.  I am not a fan of this sauce because it can either be runny or two rich for me.  This was P-E-R-F-E-C-T.  Wow - it had great flavor without being cloying and not too cheesy.  I would order a pan of this for a party without a doubt. We also enjoyed meatballs.  These were large sized with plenty of meat but what set this entree apart was the chunky tomato sauce and the slathering of cheese.  Great choice.  The garlic knots were small pillows of bread brushed with butter and garlic. The dessert was a cannoli .  This Italian treat was given to my husband because he did not get to come.  They were sprinkled with  powder sugar and chocolate chips.  Very good twist on a traditional sweet. This to me seemed to be authentic New York style Italian food and I am just wondering why I have not tried this place before.

Review 2:

So wanted to give them a better review but just can't. Walked in wasn't greeted, I am ok with that, not great with it but o.k. I ordered a soda and the hubby water. I went with the eggplant parmesan and he went with a margarita pizza. The waitress who was also running the register and asking the phones asked if he would like would like a balsamic drizzle on it and he said sure. She mentioned nothing about it being an extra charge. We were given garlic knots almost immediately and then the food roughly 15 minutes later. When she brought us the food, she brought me my dish and then tried to give my hubby chicken parmesan. What!! She looked at us like we had two heads when we told her he ordered pizza. She went back and checked said it was still in the oven and it would be out in 5 minutes. At that point I started timing it and it was 16 minutes and I was done with my meal and asking for a box when his pizza was delivered. No apologies. Once she brought us the check we realized she charged us for 2 sodas and an additional amount for the drizzle we didn't expect. I would have enjoyed the food more if I was able to eat it with my hubby at the same time. Mistakes happen just be honest, she clearly put in the wrong order. Also everytime she came to the table, she insisted on calling my husband dear. It was a little too much for my liking. The food taste was good overall, the sauce for the knots and eggplant had good flavor and the drizzle made the pizza. I am hoping it was just not a good day and their service is usually better but when I only order two drinks and two dishes and there is a problem with one dish and one drink, it's not good service in my book.

Review 3:

This establishment plays on a gangster vibe and has the servers wearing fedoras and cheesy (no pun intended) T-shirts with a tie printed on it. Maybe the fedora topped ensemble wouldn't be so bad if the servers wore dress shirts with suspenders and maybe a tie while sporting the hat. But it definitely is a definitive look, I will give it that. Coming from New Jersey, I like to think I know good pizza. So I swung by to try a slice. My opinion? This pizza is ok. It could use a bit more seasoning and maybe was a tad overcooked (I like a "well done" pizza, but I hadn't ordered it well done and this was beyond "well done," but still ok (I guess it is a nice way of saying mediocre). They did have a few options with various toppings, but I went for a plain slice. The price was ok for a slice ($2.66 out the door), but looking at their "specials," they seemed a bit high. One special was two 18" pizzas with one topping each for $37.99. The price for an 18" cheese pizza is $17.99. The "special" isn't such a special and the 18" pizza is a bit on the high side (again, only my opinion). Finally, service, while not rude, was not engaging. After placing my order, I kind of stood there for quite a bit until finally my slice was brought out. A final plus for here. The red and white checked wax paper between the pizza and paper plate was a nice touch.
