Tacos From a Recipe Older Than You: A Review of Jimboy's Tacos

Jimboy’s Tacos started out in Sacramento, California, but has since expanded to Chicago, where they are now located near Millennium Park in the River North area. Jimboy’s Tacos' infamous taco was voted “Best Taco” by Sacramento Magazine, and is well worth the time and effort to make a stop in to try for yourself.

Jimboy’s Tacos menu has a large selection to choose from, including tacos, gordos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, tostadas, salads, and much more. And if these options don’t interest you, you can always choose to order a bowl with the same tasty ingredients. For your protein selection, they offer ground beef, chicken, shredded beef, steak, shrimp, or fish.

Not only do they have delicious meat options, but they also offer ingredients for the vegetarians out there, such as myself. You can keep things animal friendly by choosing beans or just plain cheese. Jimboy's Tacos menu features a daily special everyday of the week (prices and participation may vary), which will be sure to keep you coming back for more.

While visiting Jimboy's, I tried the burrito bowl off of the vegetarian menu, which came with beans, rice, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. However, if you’re not interested in keeping it vegetarian and want to add some meat, Jimboy’s Tacos burrito bowl is available with a choice of ground beef, chicken, shredded beef, steak, and/or carnitas. In addition, being the nachos connoisseur that I am, I made it a priority to try the super nachos. Let me just say, Jimboy’s Tacos nachos were hands down one of the best I’ve had. Not to mention, it came with a vegetarian option as well. Jimboy’s Tacos super nachos come with beans, nacho cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, olives, and if you want, you may add your choice of meat to the mix as well.

Believe it or not, Jimboy’s Tacos also features a breakfast menu too. If you are feeling up to it, I would recommend the fiesta platter, which comes with mild green chile and cheese, wrapped in scrambled eggs, and topped with more cheese, with a side of spanish rice, traditional pinto beans, and a flour tortilla. Another enticing menu item is the breakfast el gordo, a highly talked about and well known Jimboy’s menu item. It's basically a giant breakfast burrito in a grilled flour tortilla, with one egg, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, with your choice of ham, bacon, or chorizo- the perfect Mexican breakfast meal.

With all the amazing options on their menu to try, it might be a stretch to make the trip down there every time you're craving Mexican. But don't worry, they deliver! And fortunately for you, FoodBoss has got you covered and can save you time and money. So, what are you waiting for? With Jimboy’s Tacos delivery, you have no excuse not to try the best tacos in Sacramento.
