How to Use Contactless Payments for your Restaurant
Why No-Contact Payments Important:
Hand to hand exchanges with cards or cash can spread COVID-19 between employees and patrons.
Solution:
Only use contactless payment options to keep your employees safe.
Options:
1. No cash transactions
Don’t allow patrons to pay in cash. Publicize this on your website, social accounts, and with signs in the restaurant.
2. NFC Payments
NFC stands for ‘Near-Field Communication’ and is when you hold a source near a payment reader which picks up the payment. Examples include common cards with the ‘touch and go’ payment option, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.
3. Online payments only for pickup and delivery
Excluding any actual payment transaction is the safest option. Allow patrons to pay for meals online whenever possible to limit the amount of face-to-face interaction they must have with employees.
